Religious Education is central to life at St Mary's

WHILE WE ARE CATHOLIC, WE ARE PROUD TO BE A MULTI-FAITH COMMUNITY!

We pride ourselves on being a multi-faith community where we reflect, share and celebrate our love for God and each other. As a multi-faith community, which include Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Muslims and Christians we celebrate our rich diversity and love to learn from each other. All are welcome at St Mary's!

The children are encouraged to participate in all the various rich and varied elements of our Religious Education program. 
This includes:

• daily prayer- including meditation
• singing & liturgical dance
• Sacramental programs
• role play
• discussions and debates
• bible study
• social justice action

Where possible our Religious Education topics are linked to our Inquiry units to allow the children to explore and develop a broad and diverse understanding of their world in the 21st Century. Students are encouraged to share their learning with other students and to continue to develop new understandings about their own faith and the faith of others. The students also access technology to help support their wonderings and consolidate their developing understandings and new learning.
